It is part of the English Schools Foundation (ESF) and is currently one of the few schools in Hong Kong offering the International Baccalaureate Curriculum to all students. Experienced IB teachers have been recruited from many countries to teach students from Year 1 to Year 13. Many of the students and teachers came from Phoenix International School after it closed on July 07, 2006.
Students come from different countries such as United Kingdom, the United States, India, Singapore, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and a couple of African countries. As well, local Hong kong students make up a majority of the population in the school. All the students in the school speak fluent English and can read and write English. The school offers English, Mandarin(or Putonghua), Humanities, Art, Music, Drama, P.E., Science,Mathematics and Technology.
School Hours
For Year 1 to 6, the school starts at 9:00am and end at 3:15pm. For Year 7 to 13, the school starts at 9:15am and end at 4:00pm. Students that are involved in CAS, which stands for Creativity, Action and Service, after school may end their school day at 4:15pm (most of the CAS ends at 4:15pm).
Uniform
For boys (Year 1 to 13): Stripe polo shirt (either khaki shirt with horizontal black stripes or black shirt with horizontal khaki stripes) , cargo shorts, cargo pants, sweater, P.E. Shirt and P.E. Shorts. /shorts. You can wear any combinations of RCHK uniform that you want (The school ask the students to wear black shirt and khaki pants/shorts or khaki shirt and black pants/shorts).
For girls (Year 1 to 6): Stripe polo shirt (either khaki shirt with horizontal black stripes or black shirt with horizontal khaki stripes), cargo pants, sweater, a skort, P.E. Shirt and P.E. Shorts. You can wear any combinations of RCHK uniform that you want (The school ask the students to wear black shirt and khaki skort/pants or khaki shirt and black pants/skorts).
For girls (Year 7 to 13): Stripe polo shirt (either khaki shirt with horizontal black stripes or black shirt with horizontal khaki stripes), cargo pants, sweater, a skirt, P.E. Shirt and P.E. Shorts. If you wear black shirt, you must wear khaki pants/skirt. You can wear any combinations of RCHK uniform that you want (The school ask the students to wear black shirt and khaki pants/skirts or khaki skirt and black pants/skirts).
